Bilda's Friess Lake Pub was established in 2006 when Vickie and Bob Bilda purchased what was the Sunset View Restaurant and then briefly Charlie's Pub. Located at the corners of State Roads 167 and 164 in Hubertus, it is a perfect waypoint on the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive near Holy Hill Cathedral, the highest point in southeast Wisconsin. Interestingly, the building is located on the site of what was once Friess Lake School, which now stands across the road. Evidence of this can be found at the Richfield Historical Society.

The interior was completely renovated by removing the old booths and the partition between the dining room and bar, creating an open yet intimate space. Wood tables and leather covered chairs give a warm, comfortable charm to the new facilities. Outdoor terrace seating was added in summer 2007.

Bilda's has a little for nearly everybody. Family friendly, the pub is completely smoke free. There are two wide flat-screen and three smaller TV's that carry popular sporting events and news programs. The pub also holds special events such as wine and beer tasting parties and holiday gatherings.
